Ugh! Oldest son and dad are on the outs! Thats what he gets for working for his dad. He got laid off, then fired, which dad can't really do. Hell, I thought once my kids were of age I wouldn't get caught in the middle of this shit anymore. I don't do drama very well. It's just not my thing. But my son wants to physiy kick his dads ass. I keep trying to tell him that he needs to not be like his dad, separate his boss feelings from his dad, but he just can't do it. His dad treated him like shit as an employee and treats him the same way now as his son. I try to stress that the best revenge is to have a good life and make something of himself outside of his dads business. Gad! Will it ever end? I did my best to listen, I had to say "now can you blame me for divorcing the ass hole?" I did stress the fact that he was a good dad. But now I'm starting to question that. All my boys say he loves his step sons more than them. Now I want to kick his ass!

Ya, thats why he was over I helped him do a resume, fill out all the shit for unemployment benefits, showed him some places to search for jobs. And basiy just listened to him rant for a few hours. He is extremely smart and shows up to work on time, takes over when his dad is out on his many vacations every year. But because he trys to show his dad easier ways of doing things, his dad gets pissed. It's either his way or the highway. Even the step son agrees that my sons ideas work much better. Hopefully he'll get a good job where he is treated with respect rather than a son that doesn't know anything. He is so deserving of it!

Ha! I say hell no! He is a water purification technician. Plenty of jobs here for that. Especially with his skills and training. Entry level positions are starting at $x an hour and he has x years under his belt. And his dad was only paying $x an hour. I'm sure he will do just fine finding a job loy. I don't want him to move far away. That would kill me! Selfish, I know, but I would miss him terribly.

That Was A pretty crappy thing to do, but what will make your son the bigger man is to walk away and excel in another position. If he kicks his ass, he is just like him, where is the fun in that.
