Any lesbian groups in King or Snohomish? Not sure if this is the right place to ask...my partner and I moved here four years ago and are looking for stuff to do on our days off. T/W/Th. We're 28/36 yo and have been together for 9 years. We're mature and have our lives together but have a good sense of humor. I (28) drink socially, but am not a drunk, she (36) is 420 friendly, but not a stoner. We're looking for people to go out to dinner, have a poker party, go to concerts (just saw B52s, have tickets to see X and TKK). So, yea...we're not part of any LGBT group or club but are looking for something to do in our spare time.

you might have to make your own group For Snohomish, there is Sno-Isle WSG: For Seattle, with both the LRC and our LGBT community center effectively defunct, there aren't any centralized community meeting places, though the smaller orgs will have some inroads. Your best bet might be to figure out which of these you'd like to volunteer with, or look into meetup.org, or pay a visit to Babeland and check out their community bulletin board. If you're into dining and restaurants, I could actually help you with concrete suggestions there, since I'm in the industry myself.

Funding problems with GLBT center?

Yes, though... ...there have also been rumors swirling about mismanagement for awhile now. And the infighting over where to hold Pride last year certainly didn't help matters. It's a shame. There's lots of money in Seattle, though nowadays with the economic downturn, nonprofits everywhere are hurting.

Thanks... For the link and suggestions. We love eating at different places and we actually don't mind doing it alone. Our absolute favorite place is Dahlia Lounge or any of Tom Douglas' restaurants. We're not looking to do anything particularly lesbian, but if we can find lesbians to do things with...great. So, you are in the culinary (?) industry...I'd love to hear more.
