i hate u.p.s. why cant they just leave the damn package? and why cant i pick it up today? because they are bastards. must have a signature and arent open on the weekends. and no, i cant fight rush hour traffic to be in west sac from cowtown in thirty minutes after i leave school early to pick the damn thing up. and they will only hold your package for 5 business days before they just return to sender. annoying.

do you have a friend that can accept the package at their work location and you can get it from them. Just a thought

i wish, but all my friends are also in my (crazy school) boat. the boat that stays at school from 8 to 6 pm every day. the stupid office where i could pick it up from doesnt open until 10am so i cant even just get up early. i think i will just leave school early one day so they dont send it back. i will be totally gross and bloody from our lab but thats what they get! bastards.

I tried, sorry the bloody woman that comes in to pick up the package will serve them right.

ahh...another happy customer Just got home after delivering packages all over the county today but maybe I can explain: If you live in a multi unit house or complex, the package cannot be left without a signature in case it gets stolen (then UPS is responsible for its loss and the driver is responsible for replacement costs). Sometimes the package is designated as "signature release only" and MUST get a signature. Customer counter is not open on week ends, that is true but if you ahead they may be able to locate the package and you can come pick it up but thats a personal decision made by the supervisor who is there. I know at my center our customer counter is open late and even after it closes we try to accommodate customers up until as late as 9- 10:00 at night. We do that every night as a courtesy. Call the center direct and talk to someone there. If you can't get the direct phone number maybe I can get it for you on Monday. OR, you can have the package rerouted to another address. Perhaps where you work where you will be available to sign for it. OR, you can sign the delivery notice if its that type of signature release. OR, leave a note authorizing a neighbor to sign for it. and yes, lots of bastards at UPS but most of us try our damndedst to get everyones packages delivered to them on time and in one piece.

in case I wasn't clear.... cos I have a bad habit of doing that ;-) but we DO deliver on Saturdays. However the customer counter isn't open on Saturdays. Too late for today I'm sure but FYI you can try ing and coming in on Sat. to pick it up and sign for it if they can find it in the building. I don't feel responsible its like when a customer complains about service to me I usually apologize to them too. Even though, of course I am not directly responsible. however as a UPS employee I am sorta sorry feisty was unhappy.

oh man, thanks for the clarification. i dont think the one here is open on saturday because they said the next delivery attempt would be monday? but i could be wrong.
