Poll! Best job / Worst job What the best job you were ever paid to do? What's the worst job? Mine: Best Job: I was 15 and working under the table at a riding stable. Worst Job: Telemarketing surveys - asking the same 10 questions twice a minute, for 7.5 hours a day.

best/worst best: still in HS had job of layout and design/production of Yellow pages ads. Worked with my best friend (at the time) and we just had a blast. worst: Driving a school bus. Getting up at 5 a.m. getting 2 babies out and into a bus with you and driving around for 3 hours and then another 3 hours later was NOT fun.

poll answer best job the one I have..i've been data entry operator for almost 11 years. I love the people I work for and with. I love to Archive. Worst Job...when i was temping and I had to pack scrunggies in a warehouse, and it was a million degree's outside and it was dirty all over the place.

response Best: Tech support. First job after graduating college. I left thinking that I could "do better" and have regretted it ever since. Worst job: I worked at my father's drycleaners from the age of 14-18. In addition to it being a sweatshop in summers (unairconditioned + Houston + boilers + summer = 108°), customers would get so outrageous and violent that we had to the cops every other week and all the other employees distrusted me because I was the boss's kid, so I never got to have fun or chat with people at work, which is the thing that makes a bad job good in my book.

Best/Worst Best Job: When I was 15 I had a summer job working construction building condos. Worst Job: My current one. Working 12hr days on a computer and having to flip from days to nights every 12 weeks.

Mine... Best job - actually, I was doing what I do now, only I did it full time for a dotcom, and had co-workers, a salary & xk, medical, dental and vision (and domestic-partner) benefits. And I made easily x times what I make now as a freelancer. Sigh... I guess like x% of dotcom life, it couldn't last. Worst job - It was probably working at a mill in a small town outside Eugene, OR. The factory made ridge tops for cedar roofs, and I was a drone at the butt end of an assembly line, packing the waste bits up as shims for construction workers. It was grindingly, mind-numbingly tedious, and my coworkers, although nice to my face, were voy bigoted during breaks. I didn't last long there. It made the other menial jobs I had during that part of my life seem fun by comparison. Job I was most psyched to get - the chimney sweep job.

Best /Worst Best either current job, or bartending. Bartending was so long ago, but it was much easier and far from as much liabilty. Worse, dishwasher when I wasn't bartending, and cleaning horse stalls! Although dishwasher paid well, my hands were junk from all the water, and it was gross

best/worst Best job: teaching English in Tokyo when I finished undergrad. Great food, great people, great times! Worst job: working on a computer chip assembly line the summer after my senior year of high school. x days/week for x hours. I had to get finger-printed at the end of the summer for my citizenship test and the chemicals in the plant had literally erased my fingerprints!

Best/Worst Best: Physical Therapy Assistant at Easter Seals Rehabilitation Center during high school. Holding up the kids with leg braces so they could walk around the room, helping kids achieve the most simple of things and being able to recognize it for the monumental achievement it was, helping stroke survivors learn to tie shoes single handed, with their non-dominant hand, etc. etc. Loved that job. Worst: Packing books for shipping.

Best/worst Best: Current job - I have control over my enviro and the org does good work. Worst: Worked in fishbowl with x other admins for the top mgmt team of a logistics company. There was such a double standard between the men with families, the women with families, and those of us without children. On the other hand it helped pay for grad school. I feel very grateful to have had some really interesting jobs over the years and to have worked with some great people!

Best/ Worst Hard to break it down. Best: Teaching Science xth grade Christa McAuliffe Middle and Western Pines Middle for x years Worst: Teaching science xth grade Pahokee Jr. Sr. High and Congress Middle for x years. Have done other jobs that would fit but teaching was my best job. x years.

It is odd how the same job but different personnel can make such a huge difference.
